Warm, creative guitar-based Celtic music

"This is the only Al Petteway cd I own, so I can't compare it w/ his other releases. But I can tell you that it is a very accomplished collection of songs. Most are slow, reflective 'aires' (if that's the right word) which are beautiful. Most are built around Al's guitar playing, often accompanied by bagpipes. Rarely do things 'heat up.' And, finally, there are some sublime, melancholic moments...highly recommended."
