The latest edition of the Ed Neumeister quartet, "New Standards" features four musicians who have a common understanding to improvised music. Each coming from slightly different backgrounds, but each with a firm grasp of the history of composed and improvised music with influences from around the world. They share a vision, which builds on the foundations of the past in order to move their music into the future. This group sets new standards for combining creative interaction with sometimes complicated, sometimes freer forms. New Standards:
