CD Reviews

This CD is so overlooked

"I don't know if anyone will even read this review, because this is the story of another extremely great CD that is buried by the wave of Clearchannel-MTV garbage. The songs are skillfully written and the interpretations are simply flawless. This is a CD made for those who appreciate real music"
A fantastic talent, if you skip this one you will regret it

"This is one of the best cd's to grace my cd player in some time. I buy a lot of music and Keri Noble is at the top of my charts. Her voice can sometimes be very angelic and calming. Yet other times it is riddled with emotion and so much heart that you know there are real stories behind her lyrics. This is no joke, she is the real thing. I guess I had an unfair advantage over the rest of the world as far as finding out about Keri's music. It turns out she lives in Minneapolis as do I. So hopefully the word spreads quickly and everyone has a chance to hear her music. Recommended songs are, all of them really, but my favorites are "Look at Me", "Talk to Me", and "Answered Prayer". The one song that you cannot let go of is "I Won't". It is a song of power for anyone who has been controlled or taken advantage of in a relationship. It moved me and I'm a guy, so that should tell you something about how powerful Keri's lyrics and voice are. Bottom line, buy the album and see her live if you get the chance."
Beautiful and pure female vocalist

"Of all the things I have purchased through Amazon, I've never felt the need to write a review before. This CD needed a review. This CD needs a giant marketing campaign demanding that it be played on the radio - but of course that will never happen, but at least I can encourage anyone even thinking about this album - to purchase it whole heartedly. If I had to compare this to any one album, it would be Patty Griffin's Living with Ghosts. There is a very similar feeling. The voice is where the emotion is - not in some huge background production. The words are very true. The songs quickly become personal. I generally listen to an album a few times, then put it up for awhile to ensure I don't ever get tired of it. I haven't been able to take this out of my car for a month now. When it isn't playing, I'm often haunted by lines and melodies of her songs.

I initially heard of Keri when one of her songs played on Launchcast while I listened at work. I wrote down her name as someone to look into because I liked the song so much. I finally had the time to look her up and reviewed the song snippets on Amazon, and it sounded good - but SO hard to really get a feel for the album that way. Once I received the CD, I looked quickly at the liner notes and I knew that I would love her, at least on some level, because of the personal notes above each song. For each song she gives a 2-4 sentance history of what inspired the song or what it means to her. Gotta love that. I made myself listen to the album twice before I let myself read the notes. It was amazing how it subtly changed some of the songs for me. The songs grown more rich with each listen.

This is a great album. Drive with it. Clean your house with it. Play it while you work. Share it with friends over a bottle of wine - and then tell them to go buy their own copy. :) Go crazy with it."
