"I was very disappointed when I received this collection because when I ordered it I believed it to be a Gary Puckett and the Union Gap CD. When I realised it was a collection of artists, I thought I would give it a try anyway. I perused the cover, back and front, to see if these were original versions or re-recordings by one or more of the original members of each group. Nothing was listed. So imagine my surprise when I put this on and listened. None of these are the original versions. Some of the vocals do not even sound like the singer listed especially the Puckett tunes. On a second listening, I came to believe that it may be the correct singer but they are certainly not even good copies of the original versions. Why this collection can get away with this when most other collections have had to list on the cover that they were not original, I do not know. Although this collection might be OK for those who have never heard the originals, anyone looking to find the songs they treasured from these people and from that time should stay as far away as possible from this collection. For Gary Puckett fans stick to either a greatest hits collection or if you like his voice as much as I do try "The Golden Classics Edition" which includes all of his first two albums plus other assorted hits. You will know it as it shows the first two album covers on the front cover."
