"I was given this compilation as a gift, and what a gift is. This CD represents some of the finest contemporary doo-wop.



Highlights for me include The Quotations' Sh-Boom, Eddie Pardocchi & The Five Discs' Zu Zu and "Darling Lorraine" by Harry Hepcat & The Boogie Woogie Band. But I could name just about every song as a highlight!





There are quite a few selections that this doo-wop fanatic had never heard before, and that's quite feat! The Legends of Doo Wop won my heart on the "Doo Wop at 50" stage, and their "Dear Lord" is gorgeous, sung with impeccable harmony. Frankie and the Fashions' entry, "Symphony of Love" is wonderful, exactly what I've come to expect for our darling neo-doowopper from Philly who writes original doo-wop. "What's Your Name" is here by The Elegants who are known for "Little Star". The Five Borroughs perform "Recess in Heaven". Get all of their CD's. They're unbelievable!



There are so many beautiful voices on this CD and great bell chords. Gives me goosebumps! I can't gush about this collection enough to do it justice!



I'm so glad to see the heart and spirit and quality of doo-wop is being carried so luminously into the future. Thank you to all the wonderful artist's represented here and for the producers who put this together. Doo Wop 'til you Drop, ba-bay! Thanks so much!"
