"The first time I heard 2nd Chapter of Acts is when my mother brought home "Singer Sower" from the bargain bin at the christian music store. They had a unique sound that I had never heard before and haven't heard since. This anniversary collection gives you the history of Annie, Matthew and Nelly, the sibling group that became part of the "Jesus" movement in contemporary Christian music. I enjoy the thought-provoking, fluid lyrics of Annie Herring, the soulful, flexible voice of Matthew Ward, and the overall cosmic harmony of the trio. The classics like "Easter Song", and "Jesus Is" are on here. My favorites are "Morning Comes When You Call/The Sun Comes Over the Hill", "Rod and Staff", the very baroque "Heaven Came to Earth" and the previously unreleased "Just One Word" and "Star" (a very different Christmas song) are musical gems. If you like tight harmonies, a variety of musical styles ranging from hippie-dippie seventies to electronic eighties, and want music that ministers to your heart and soul, then I highly recommend 20."
I love this album.

"I listen closely to the words, and they always speak directly to me. They help me to remember Bible teachings and reinforce their importance. I believe God uses the 2nd Chapter of Acts to guide and comfort, teach and inspire to praise."

"Thirty years ago as a student in England, I bought many 2nd Chapter of the Acts vinyl LP albums. I am nostalgic about being able to own these CDs and listen to the music of the siblings again. The music is great, but above all, the lyrics are very rich. The albums helped me in my Christian growth."
A Must Have

"This compilation set is the perfect way to have all the favorites on 2 CD's. If you remember this group, you'll know most all the songs. To hear music straight from the studio, played, sung and recorded...no frills, no overdubbing, no studio tricks...makes you realize just how talented this group was. Love the harmony, love the band. If you are too young to remember them, but love Christian rock, buy this CD set. You won't be disappointed."
