"Igor Stravinsky defined this 1957 recording of "Four Seasons" as "The best interpretation of this work during the past years". I absolutely agree. The interpretion is so vivid and elegant. The violinist Tomasow and the conductor Janigro are definitely the baroque music experts! The CD also contains the Concerto in G major for 2 Mandolins and Concerto in C major for 2 Trumpets. All the performances are superb. The recording years are from 1957 to 1964, the golden era of sound recording. The sound effect is so sweet and natural, much better than modern digital recording. This is a MUST for those who like Vivaldi's "Four Season"."

"This is the best version of Vivaldi's Four Seasons I've heard. In fact, I have bought multibple copies over the years, but always given them away for others to enjoy. It's time I bought another copy for us (sadly it does not seem to be available on Rhapsody)."
