"You're right on target...how often in music will you hear lyrics like:
"And not so mysteriously...
When I look at my face,
I see in its place
My Dad's physiognomy."
These guys have (had) one of the best senses of humor and poignancy in any group I've ever had the pleasure of hearing. Songs like "Don't Regret" and "Baltimore" ring true and tell great stories, even as they have you humming the music for hours....and days...and years."
A wonderful recording

"....ahhh..the late great 5 Chinese Brothers..this disc is a pleasant introduction to the music of this fun, intelligent band...while they certanly matured on later releases, this one is the one I keep going back to...'tis a shame that they are around no more....check these guys out before this creative stuff is out of print!"
Very good, fun listening, funny, occasionally profound.

"There is a wide selection of tempos and moods on this record, all of which I enjoyed. "Paul Cezanne" is hilarious, a pop-surf song fictional account of the French painter. Even though there is a tongue-in-cheek feel to the whole album, it does have some interesting things to say, especially (to me), "My Dad's Face.""
