"ack. sorry for the bad gag.
Of all the bands I've previously tipped for greatness, 65 Days of Static least deserve the total obscurity and failure that usually goes with that recommendation.
Really, 65DOS are a product of an equation that seems blindingly obvious in retrospect: the pomp and power of Mogwai + Warp-style beat/bleep craziness. It's *so* great to hear an energetic and imaginative approach to music like this and it works so well, to spectacular effect on this single. I absolutely freaking defy you to play this at loud volume and not find the hairs on your neck rising. I usually find myself flailing uncontrollably around the living room, destroying any breakable items within reach, but that's me.
Beg borrow or steal "Fall of Math", their debut from the UK. Good luck guys - I really hope you make it to continuous rotation on MTV2."
