"Made in USA in 2000, Serial# BR-303, Playing Time 51:21In my book, this is the "original" 707, featuring Kevin Russell, NOT the 1998 group of the same name that released "View from the Boulevard" (or something like that...) This is the long-awaited 4th album from this early 80's american group.Mainly featuring songwriter/guitarist/vocalist Kevin Russell, he's accompanied on this recording by drummer Denny Carmassi, whose recording career in various projects is too long to enumerate here.Though the material here is fairly catchy, this straight-ahead brand of rock left me somewhat hungry for their early recordings. The arrangements are pretty simple, and not particularly original. Which is unfortunate if you're a big fan of the "707" and "The Second Album" era, which was much more entertaining and captivating. The melodies are somewhat lacking enthusiasm and polish, something that makes me feel back to the early 70s. Possibly due to a low-budget, the "recording" is fairly empty, even though the compositions are still good.Disappointing perhaps, but maybe the promise of better things to come..."

"Any music production that Kevin Russell is involved with is a must for all true collectors. This CD shows his great lyrical and guitarist abilities. All of his other work show be tracked down and collected. His blues CD's are a must, whether on the "San Franciso Blues Guitar Summit 1-3", "Better Blues Bureau", or any of his more recent works. If you like hard driving guitar work with great transistions and changes within songs, together with moving lyrics, get this CD and ALL of his other work. This guy should be on the Mount Rushmore of Music!"
