Album DescriptionCollection of early '80s singles, album tracks and rarities from Punk Rock legends 999. Beginning in 1981 with their Concrete album, 999 retained their Punk edge but were writing more overtly Pop-oriented material and experimenting outside the boundaries of the three-chord Punk onslaught that had gained them popularity and notoriety. Adding Reggae and Post-Punk influences into their songs allowed them to expand their musical horizons as their songwriting matured. By 1984, they had virtually abandoned their tough edge, constantly evolving and experimenting with their two guitar/bass/drums line-up. This collection features 20 tracks taken from this creative '80s period and is a perfect companion to their Punk Singles Collection (which covers the years 1977-80). Scandal In The City (AKA The Albion Punk Collection) includes 'Obsessed', 'Li'l Red Riding Hood', So Greedy' (Remix), 'Wild Sun', 'Don't You Know I Need You' and more. Line Records.
