"AFI have officially become my favorite ACTUAL PUNK group, other than Misfits. All Hallows, the simply put masterpiece E.P., is possibly the greatest disc that Davey Havok and his group, have ever put out. Even despite the undenyable fact it only contains 4 songs.
All Hallows is a 4 track E.P. in which contains 3 new songs, and a Misfits cover. I shall now review them, 1 by 1.1. "Fall Children"-This song I absolutely love! Its lyrics are simply great, with lyrics like "As the cries start to penitrate still air, this day we celebrate, the wait now ends!" who wouldn't love this song? It has a catchy chorus, "This day so hollowed!" and its guitar, drum, and bass work are just absolutely great, top notch. Overall rating for this song, 10/102. "Halloween"-I'll start off by saying, that I myself am a huge fan of the Misfits. So when listening to this song, I was very very openminded to see if they slandered or respected the group with their re-creation of it, and I loved it. This song is atleast just as good as the original Misfits version. I myself think that the lyrics themselves and the sound, are better than the Misfits version. The only problem I have with this song is the annoying major on-going extension of noise and sounds at the end of this song, which spans over 3 minutes. The original Misfits song is only about 2 minutes long, without noises. Why couldn't AFI just do that?! Overall rating for this song, 9/10.3. "The Boy Who Destroyed the World"-This song is pretty good, it's quite a slow song, and its intro resembles the intro to "Who Knew" from the Black Sails E.P. While this is definantly not one of my favorite songs on the E.P. it's also not a bad song at all. I like it, it's also on the THPS-3 soundtrack and game. Overall rating for this song, 9/10.4. "Totalimmortal"-This song is by far, the BEST of old AFI and something that most all AFI fans wish that they could re-create. To me, Totalimmortal shows the best of the E.P. with its lyrics, instrumentals, and all around song meaning. I wont spoil the meaning for anyone, so you'll all have to just interpret your own meaning to this song, but i'm pretty sure i've found the true meaning to it. Totalimmortal is one of the best AFI songs of all time, and for that, I call it the best song on this E.P. period! Overall rating for this song, 100/10. (Yes 100, this song is just THAT GOOD!)Buyers of All Hallows will definantly not be dissappointed with AFI's sound in this spacific release. If they are just getting into AFI, I actually reccomend they buy AFI's newest release Sing the Sorrow, just to get a feel for what AFI may sound like in the future. But old school AFI fans..All Hallows is an ESSENTIAL that you MUST HAVE because by me, this has been dubbed their BEST disc EVER despite its lack of many tracks."
Great Four Song EP

"All Hallows is one of the best EPs I've ever heard. It ranks up there with Radiohead's Airbag EP and their My Iron Lung EP. All Hallows starts with Fall Children, it's slow creepy intro is perfect before the storm. The music box ending chills me every time I listen to it. Music Boxes and clowns are pretty much the only two things that scare me...Halloween is a Misfits cover and remains great along side the original. The Boy Who Destroyed The World is 3 minutes of great punk, but next is one of punk rocks finest moments ever in the song Total Immortal. Great bass, great lyrics (so poetic...) and great guitars. So much better than the bastardized version The Offspring did..."

"I was at the record store and actually looking for AFI's Answer That and Stay Fashionable, but they didn't have it. Instead, they had this little ditty for about 6 dollars. I decided to pick it up.One of the best decisions I ever made.1. Fall Children - A terrific song that starts out sort of eerie with just guitars, but then it goes into blistering rock that certainly leaves an impression. 10/10.
2. Halloween - This song is actually a Misfits cover, but no way could the Misfits have done it better. This is probably my favorite song on the EP, it's absolutely incredible. The music only actually goes for about 1:45, and then it goes into a kind of horror-movie-type music to fade it out. Absolutely not to be missed. 15/10.
3. The Boy Who Destroyed the World - Fantastic song. Very melodic, yet fast and powerful. Another 10/10.
4. Total Immortal - One of the first AFI songs I ever heard, so not only do I love it, I have an attachment to it. This was covered by The Offspring for the movie Me, Myself, & Irene, but this version is about a thousand times better. 13/10.Bottom line: Buy this EP. NOW."
Three of AFI's best songs, and a cover

"It's rare that a band releases an EP containing three of their best songs ever written. However, this is the case with AFI's All Hallows E.P. For most people, this collection of songs, released between Black Sails and the Art of Drowning is AFI at their absolute best. The songs are a perfect balance between catchiness/polish, as well as fast, visceral and very anthemic. As for Halloween (originally recorded by the Misfits) is hands-down their best cover song. It's just a damned shame they didn't release a whole album with music of this quality.Fall Children - This song is an excellent introduction to the songs that follow. It really captures the festive, tribal essence of celebration and reverence that AFI were trying to accomplish. Other than that, it's just a great song. Filled with those trademark "woahs" and a sing-along chorus, many may choose this as their favorite song on the album.Halloween - Though this wasn't written by AFI, it's actually better than a lot of their original pieces. It doesn't fall victim to the frequent butchering and distortion of songs being covered that we often see. In fact, it's quite the opposite - I prefer this version to the original Misfits version.
The Boy Who Destroyed the World - Here's another classic AFI song. Though it isn't as good as Fall Children or Totalimmortal, it's still one of my favorite AFI songs. It isn't as immediately appealing or catchy as the other tracks on this EP, but it will grow on you with time. Interestingly enough, it shares a very similar guitar intro to Who Knew? from the Black Sails EP. Check that one out, too.Totalimmortal - This is my favorite song on the EP, and possibly my all-around favorite AFI song of all time. It's an extremely catchy, energetic and well-written punk song. With the release of the movie Me, Myself & Irene, the Offspring did a cover of it, which they received extensive radio play of. Because of this reason, chances are, you'll remember the song. When I first heard it, I thought "Hey, this sound's like an Offspring song!" It's unfortunate that AFI weren't awarded much, if any credit for this song. I used to always think the Offspring version was pretty good, but I really love the original. It's approximately four times as good, thanks to the heavier guitars, and far superior vocals of Davey Havok to Dexter Holland."
