"J-RE the Reviewer - back again. Everyone agrees with me that Nas Illmatic is a classic and one of the best Hip Hop albums (if not the best) of all time, period. AZ had a lot to do with that with his classic verse. This man is classic and legendary, anything below classic would be disrespect to AZ. This album is AZ's most mature and intelligent album. He is very smooth on this album, but also spits venom. This is just a classic album right here and is the Illmatic of our time (2008) and for mature audiences only. If you even give this below 5 stars you really gotta question yourself for real yo, I mean what makes a classic album? Beats gotta be classic, lyrics, flow, and subject matter gotta be fire, and swag gotta be there...he has it all. Stop playn and give A his due"
AZ is in my top 2

"Easily better then anything else out and it is definitely for people with a mature feel for music. It's so effortless that it is not even funny. AZ and Nas are the best ever to do it in my opinion. They both understand life so it's only right to say that there music is undeniable. AZ said it best on AWOL, "It's hard to explain my artwork." So why try?"

"this is a sick album, best album that came out this year so far by far. who ever gives this album a low review is a soulja boy fan who doesnt know real music. if you want the real hip hop fire flow then cop this and support the movement."

"Man, this dude is off the hook. AZ is soooo underated its ridiculous. I love every song on this CD. I don't skip not one song, and that's rare for me. My man took it back to the 90's with this one and kept it straight street, but classy as he always is. Dude has swaggard like a motha*****. I love all of his lyric content, and definately without a doubt can say he is up there with Jay-Z. That's how dope this dude is. He has lyrics for days. You must cop this one, you will not regret it. Favorite favorite songs are numbers 3 and 5, but love them ALL!"
