"Rock the boat is simply one of her most beautiful song. It's a R&B ballad that shows Aaliyah at her best. The single contains the original mix, a club mix and the we need a resolution track. It's a must have for any Aaliyah fan. I love the smooth tune and the beat. Let's pay tribute to Aaliyah, one of the greatest and most beautiful R&B artist."

"Aaliyah, ooh Aaliyah, She never knew how much she was loved by many people. Everyone loves rock the boat, it makes us feel like she is still here with us, even though she is, everyday when I see that video it makes my happy that she was doing what she wanted to do, but makes me cry to know that she is gone. You know what hurts the most, she died, two days before my birthday and she died on my bestfriend's and brother's birthday, We love you Aaliyah, We will always remember you. Oh Aaliyah! Aaliyah reminds us about the way she moves gracefully with all those dance steps, she makes it look so easy. I love the last of the video, when she was in the water, she definately looked like the angel, an angel that she was, and an angel she still is now. Aaliyah you will be missed by everyone. We will always love you. You are the stars in the sky. For the words we never got to say

"Perhaps the best R&B song of the year, here is the import release of the late Aaliyah's 'Rock the Boat'. It's a shame that the song didn't receive a commercial release here in the States. It WOULD have gone #1 on the R&B charts if it had a single available. Instead it peaked at #2. Yet it's still climbing the pop chart! Aaliyah softly coos and sings with her smoothe breathy vocals her pleas and requests to her love interest in a way that no other female artist could. She certainly had her own inimitable style. This song was perfect for her and the accompanying video is beautiful. The musical accompaniment is outstanding as well.1. The album version- The original version of the song which we have all come to know and love.2. The club remix- This track pulls off an amazing feat in that it's not an embarrassment when compared to the original..it's every bit as good!3. We Need a Resolution- A fantastic song which deserved more airplay than it received. The video for the song is also a VERY satisfying one, and has spawned several imitators...i.e. the whole snake thing...won't mention names...Aaliyah Dana Haughton 1979~2001 Gone too soon. R.I.P."

""Rock the Boat," the second single to be released from Aaliyah's self-titled 2001 album was one 2001's best songs due to a smooth, rhythmful beat mixed with Aaliyah's beautiful, soothing vocals. The song, which in my opinion, happens to be the best song on that album, was a pleasant surprise for many R&B/soul listeners that year due to an onslaught of horrible rap/pop duets that only made the recording world look more bland than it already was. Tragically, it was during the filming of the video for this song that Aaliyah tragically perished in an aviation accident. The beautiful, young, and talented star who was bound for greatness left the world suddenly, but her work will live on forever. "Rock the Boat" will appeal to anyone who not only appreciates quality music, but also anyone who like Aaliyah, fulfilled a dream and made an impact in the world, regardless if their deed/contribution was great or small. Definitely one of 2001's best songs!"

""Rock The Boat" is the second official single from Aaliyah's third long player simply titled "Aaliyah". This second single is nothing like it's predecessor "We Need A Resolution"....It is really that captivating and unique. "I want you to rock, baby, rock the boat..." Aaliyah breathes in the chorus. This edition of the single is also an Australian exclusive release as it is backed up by her previous release "We Need A Resolution". The club mix of the song is a real messy encounter with jumbled beats and synthesized vocals. This will probably be the song that everyone remembers Aaliyah by as she was tragically killed after filming the video clip for this song..."
