Synopsis

Product Description
After a two year wait, Aaron Watson s highly-anticipated album, Angels & Outlaws, has arrived. The follow up to 2006 s San Angelo, Watson s eighth album contains 15 songs ranging from an obscure Waylon Jennings cover "Tulsa" to Aaron s version of John Mayer s Heart of Life ; and is rounded out by 13 Watson-penned tunes. Watson has written something for everyone, incorporating traditional elements of fiddle and steel guitar while keeping the music current.
Included on Angels & Outlaws are such standout songs as the rowdy sing-along "That's What I Like About A Country Song" featuring guest performances by Jack Ingram, Kevin Fowler, Roger Creager and Ray Benson, along with the lead single Hearts Are Breaking Across Texas , and the soon-to-be favorite, Love Makin Song. All in all this a great country album that fans of mainstream and traditional country, young and old can enjoy.

CD Reviews

Aaron and the Orphans of the Brazos - best CD ever
N. green | Austin, Texas United States | 04/08/2008
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Aaron Watson's latest work is in my opinion his best CD ever. The songs are danceable, edgy and never fall into a cookie-cutter country rut. I didn't realise what he was all about 'til I saw 10,000 plus fans singing along to his lyrics in Dallas. My favorite tracks are Whiskey on the Fire, Can't be a Cowboy Forever, Barbed Wire Halo and Heart of Life. There are no bad tracks on this CD which is amazing nowadays. I can't wait to see him and the Orphans of the Brazos here in Austin soon."
