"Here are the hits that didn't fit on ABBA Gold,
a few interesting ABBA album tracks, some B-sides,and one never before released track -I Am the City (recorded in 1982). This is the closest thing there is to a stand alone ABBA rarities/B-sides album.
This CD has often been out of print in various territories . The original version of this CD had liner notes by UK ABBA press officer John Tobler, but the recent remastered editions has liner notes by Carl Magnus Palm.
This album was originally going to be more of a rarities/fan request project, that would feature even more B-sides and unreleased tracks such as "Just Like That'. But instead it was decided to go with a track lineup with more familiar tracks. So sadly, only one unreleased track was included.
The previously unreleased 1982 track here, "I am the City", is not surprisingly,a perfectly good song featuring Agnetha and Frida on vocals, some worthwhile lyrics and great synthesizer work. This CD has four of ABBA's six hard to find 1982 recordings on it. The three other 1982 tracks available here are "Cassandra","Under Attack" and "The Day Before You Came".
This CD was released again in 2008 with updated liner notes.

Maybe should've called this "More or Less More Gold"

"I was only 7 when Waterloo was popular and I ended up with every vinyl released in the U.S. ending with "The Singles." (Ring Ring wasn't available here.) Since I can't afford to buy one of the more "complete" collections (not counting "Thank You For the Music," the 4 disc box-set) this was an absolute MUST for me since I couldn't tell you what happened to all my old albums. I mainly bought this for "I Am the City." That seems to get mixed reviews, but I absolutely love it. It still has the classic ABBA sound with a fresher approach. I really would have loved it if they had finished that album it was supposed to go on, but you can almost make it up yourself with other songs. At least an E.P. I'll never understand why "I Am the City" was left out of the "Thank You" box-set, but I don't understand a lot of choices for other compilations either. At the very least, More ABBA Gold complements the original Gold cd quite well. I could have done without a couple of songs in lieu of some better ones, but that can be said about ABBA Gold, too. I still love both cd's. Definately recommend both."
