"This is simply a very beautiful ablum. If you like the quiet style of jazz by Bill Charlap, Alan Broadbent, or Charlie Haden, you will love this also. It's the kind of ablum to listen to after long, hectic day. It'll take you straight to paradise."

"What a gem of a recording this one is! Anchored by a fine rhythm section, Gary Foster and Bill Cunliffe will take no prisoners with this one...perhaps one of the best efforts that I've heard in a few years. Yeah, very listenable each track, no bashing or banging, just beautiful music.
It really speaks to the caliber of musician that Gary has been for these many years - based in Los Angeles and in demand by everybody that needs a versatile reedman. Those include the late Cal Tjader, Clare Fischer, Alan Broadbent and just a host of others...an alto sound that belongs to Gary..pure and inviting to want to listen to more.
Cunliffe is a soloists dream...you can't possibly not know where you are at any place on the chart...Bill's soloing is filled with some very nice chords and ideas.
The whole music is from composer Reed Kotler...as they used to say in the old DownBeat mag...'worthy of wider recognition'.
Way to go Gary and Bill!
