"Excellent early live album from the canadian fusion band Uzeb. The band is one of the bands I love the most. As a fusion enthusiast myself for me they always delivered what I search for in music. The Jazz harmonic/melodic/rhythmic sophistication in a modern context, with modern sounds and grooves (funk, rock and swing). More over as a guitarist I always search for some good fretwork in music. I'm happy someone did introduce distorted lead guitar solos in a Jazz context. Today some great bands do the same, Tribal Tech, Vital Information .. but Uzeb were among the first in the new generation of fusion bands who did it. In this live album they played their trademark fusion accompanied here and there by the lyrical violin of Didier Lockwood. I don't like violin in general, but here Didier displays an incredible bebop technique on the instrument when he solos and a great lyricism when sometimes he play the themes. Simply a great fusion live album by a very talented band which disbanded too early. It can sounds a little '80's to some of you guys, but I love the music of the period so I don't care. Anyway there are a couple live albums from the band that deserves to be purchased before than this. The MAMMOUTH 1990 UZEB World Tour live album which is an absolute MUSTHAVE for any serious fusionhead and music lover. And there is also another great UZEB Live that you can easily find here on Amazon. Please consider also UZEB Best Ballads. It is absolutly not a sleeper but a collection of original gems and wonderful standard contemporary reinterpretations (Blue in green, Pork pie hat) I really suggest all the albums from the band. They are all great albums. I can't have enough of UZEB music. Too bad they disbanded. Fusion lost something really important. I really really love this band."
