"Usually classified under "ska", like many original and excellent groups, African Head Charge in reality defies classification.

Not really African, certainly not ska. Very strange.

"Songs of Praise" is somewhat more mainstream than their other work, with a primitive-but-not-ethnic, loosely spiritual quality.

Songs of Praise has a hauntingly atmospheric, gritty groove that sticks with you after the CD has played-out."
