"DiMeola produced some of the most memorable rock/fusion albums (Land Of The Midnight Sun, Elagent Gypsy and Casino are must haves)
It is a toss up between those three of which I like the most, and I I would probably have to choose this or Midnight Sun as my first two choices due to the songs and performances.
Mediterrnean Sundance is an amazing peformance showcasing pyrotecnics on an acoustic guitar (though I think it was surpassed on Friday Night in San Francisco due to the energy of the performance on that record.)
Race With The Devil On Spanish Highway covers it all, from the instantly catchy opening bass line and drums to DiMeola starting to fly across the fretboard then bringing it back down with remarkable tone.
The opening of Flight Over Rio is also one that brings you right into the song.
A must have for fusion and guitar fans."

"To the point. I used to like this album so I purchased it on CD.
Great guitar playing but it sounds so dated! Spinal Tap jazz fusion rock...yuck."
