"I goofed on my earlier review, Jazzin' The Pops is not the original he did with Arutur Fiedler, nor is it with the Cincinnatti orchestra as I claimed falsely earlier. This album dates to 1989 when Al Hirt was starting to decline yet, the music is still a delight for any Al Hirt fan. Most of the songs are not just covers of songs already on his most popular albums, but has some new tunes that work well with his trumpet stylings. John Dankworth and his orchestra do professional job on backing up the old master. There are not a lot of Al's excellent pop jazz music available, so this one is a good deal and worth the money."
