Starting his career behind the scenes as an engineer and producer, Alan Parsons had earned enough clout in the industry to piece together his own musical vision, which he called The Alan Parsons Project. Staying behind the scenes, but clearly in charge, Parsons and long-time vocalist Eric Woolfson created some of the most magnificent albums of the '70s and into the '80s: lush, warm, pastoral and melodic. While the members of APP would change with each release, their illustrious leader never lost focus and each release was met with an enthusiastic response from fans.
