Product DescriptionThe long anticipated independent solo CD project by Alan Paul of the legendary group The Manhattan Transfer has finally been released to the general public. This album was originally released in 2003 and only available to music supervisors, advertising agencies and production companies as part of the Peermusic catalog for synchronization usage in film, television and new media projects. Another Place And Time is a modern re-creation of the classic Pop Vocal albums of the 1950's and 1960's by crooners like Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin with 15 wonderfully lush tracks. The sessions with a 32-piece orchestra, led by David Snyder, were recorded at Capitol's historic Studio A. The album features 15 lush and lovely tracks, such as the standards "Stardust", "You're Nobody 'Til Somebody Loves You", "Alright Okay You Win", "Baia" and "Can't Get Out Of This Mood", plus the title-track, "Another Place And Time", which is the first-ever recording of a new Michel Legrand melody, with lyrics by fellow Frenchman Marc Lauren and Nashville songwriter Rick Carnes. Their is also a guest appearance by The Manhattan Transfers Janis Siegel on "Everything's made For Love".
