"What can I say? The Alarm takes me to a place no other music can. Messages of love, hope, freedom, mercy, redemption, of wearing your heart on your sleeve and of planting your flag and waving it high. I really really like this record. Its simplicity is moving. Most tracks are bare bones strumming and vocal with some variation; some twelve string, harmonica and a handful of choral overdubs. Mike's voice has matured but not wavered. The Deceiver, Blaze of Glory, Walk Forever by My Side, Presence of Love, Love Don't Come Easy are standouts. All chronological with very little spacing in between. This collection of songs is a great gift to the fans. If the music of the Alarm moves you, you will want to buy this record. If you like to sing songs with your acoustic guitar, you will want to buy this record. I indeed find myself in reverie. I reflect on my own struggle and days gone by. I am renewed. My only regret is that it is not more of an "unplugged" recording with the rest of the guys. We wait in joyful hope. DVD guys please!"
