RICK SHAQ GOLDSTEIN SAYS: "ALBERT IS NOT ON THE THRONE, BUT

"Albert is one of Shaq's 5 greatest blues guitarists of all-time! It seems a lot more of his music was released after his death than during his life. Every other day I find another CD... "Lost Recordings"... "Wednesday Night In San Francisco"... "Thursday Night In San Francisco"... "Albert Kings Greatest".. "Albert King Having A Burger At Mc Donald's" (Just kidding on that one!) But it seems to be endless. This digitally re-mastered CD was released about 2001. It is not his greatest, but it's a hell of a lot better than other people put out. What I like about this collection, is that for the most part, they're lesser-known tunes, by Albert, that haven't been released on 5 other CD's. On the whole, they're a little mellower, so his trademark "bending of the strings" is still there, but in a more subtle presentation. For my loyal Shaq, "The King Of The World Blues Reviewer" fans, this CD is not for when you want to burn the town down, but just want to light your fireplace!"
Good Collection

"This is a good collection of Albert King's work.
Inside the CD case is a picture of the Night Prowler wearing a plaid suite. What more can be said? If you like Albert King and you don't already have these songs, then get the CD. You'll enjoy it.
