Why did I buy this?

"I loved the movie and for some reason was left with the impression that it was filled with wonderful music. So I bought the CD and was suprised to find almost nothing on it worth listening to. Almost the whole CD is ambient, drone type background noise that was probably very effective in the film but not something I would listen to seperately.
It DOES feature the beautiful "Me Voy a Morir de Tanto Amor" which is probably why I bought the CD in the first place but don't get fooled. 95% of the music is not in that style."
Not well understood... I guess

"Alberto Iglesias has an incredible taste to create spaces where we can populate and let our senses loose to regain a certain affaire with our most inner expressions. In the Soundtrack we follow the experiences and love that in an intricate way develop in the screen; never the less, the music calls for an introspection that goes beyond a light listening and demands from us all to 'disconnect' our normal predatorily mind and tune into a different intent, one that calls and talks about the mystery and beauty of human relationships, the hardships, the clouded and blotched areas as well as the lovingly sense of fulfilling that arises from sensing that we have found that special person, despite what this love demands from us.
Craziness, hope and misery, aren't we all plagued by the same desires and needs?
Iglesias, who normally works with Almodovar, scores a perfect mix of emotions, colours and bright sunny rays of Spanish island in Balear, a dreamland where the magical takes place and where the populated characters have to go down to in order to discover the veils of their senses.
If anything, this music will get you in touch with those areas that need most to be reviewed in order to come to terms with what you think about life-love-sex.
I would not know what to do without this music by my side!
Buy, listen and share the tunes with friends and loved ones!!

"The music on the movie makes the soundtrack seem worth waiting. The songs are slow and hard to hear. They must have been replayed at certain segements over and over. They CD is not worth the wait. I w liked the version played on the movie than on the CD."
