"Calle Ilusión" no me hizo mucha ilusión

"I've been a fan since Alex Ubago's first album - I listened to it over and over, and loved the standout vocals and the smooth, full, pop arrangements. But Alex doesn't seem to have changed anything up across his four albums - "Calle ilusión" sounds pretty much like everything that has come before. So, its a good, upbeat, well-produced pop album where the vocals are not overwhelmed by the music. But it's the same old thing. I'd like to see Alex take some risks, explore some new arrangements, and mix it up so that his sound stays current; he's starting to sound old-fashioned. The only song on this album that jumped out at me was "Walking Away", the Spanish-English mix with Craig David that clearly has a more up-to-date edge."

"I AM IN AGREEMENT WITH THE OTHER REVIEWER, SAME OLD STUFF, ALEX IS SOUNDING BORING. ALL SONGS SOUNDS THE SAME.
SOY UN FANATICO DE ALEX Y ESTABA ESPERANDO OTRO CD DE EL, PERO ME DECEPCIONE AL OIRLO COMPLETO, TODO SUENA IGUAL, VOCALIZACION, ARREGLOS MUSICALES, Y EL MISMO TONO DE INTERPRETAR. QUE DECEPCION, ESTOY QUE PIENSO REGALAR EL CD A QUIEN LO QUIERA.
SORRY ALEX BUT YOU NEED TO IMPROVE."

"I was skeptical of purchasing Alex Ubago's latest album after reading the first two reviews. There's certainly nothing revolutionary about this new release, but it's a solid assortment of the music which makes him so popular. If you're a fan, you'll want to add this one to your collection."
