But Alex doesn't seem to have changed anything up across his four albums - "Calle ilusión" sounds pretty much like everything that has come before. So, its a good, upbeat, well-produced pop album where the vocals are not overwhelmed by the music. But it's the same old thing. I'd like to see Alex take some risks, explore some new arrangements, and mix it up so that his sound stays current; he's starting to sound old-fashioned. The only song on this album that jumped out at me was "Walking Away", the Spanish-English mix with Craig David that clearly has a more up-to-date edge."
