The original music was released on two long-play platters. As a kid, I would listen to Mr. Apaka's beautiful voice and imagine what it must be like to be in Hawaii. Now, when I visit the islands, I can hear The Voice of Old Hawaii singing to me. It is indeed sad he is no longer with us. However his music will live on. Perhaps, someday soon, Vol 2 will be available again to complete that magnificient collection recorded many years ago."

The best ever of Hawaiian singers. No one can match him.
