Album Description
This recording commenced in San Francisco with cellist Matt Brubeck (Sheryl Crow, Tom Waits) and percussionist David Flores. Final touches were added with Tony Maimone (Pere Ubu, They Might Be Giants) and Joel Hamilton (Shiner, JJ Paradise Player's Club) in Brooklyn. The Quicksand EP richochets along the boundaries of what could loosely be called rock, encompassing bossa nova, bhangra funk, and electronic drum and bass.
