"Well, this is one of the very first pop-punk cd's I ever owned. (Yeah I didn't start listening to music for a long time) This entire album is extremely catchy, though one of the vocalist's gets really annoying. I don't think Allister is trying to be punk at all, cause this is exactly the opposite of punk. The only song that is close (note the word close) to being punk is Know It All.
Scratch - One of my favorite songs - 5/5
Radio Player - 4/5
Flypaper - The vocals in this song get really annoying - 3.5/5
Overrated - 5/5
Better Late Than Forever - 5/5
The One That Got Away - Vocals in this song get annoying too - 2/5
Racecars - 4.5/5
Matchsticks - 2nd favorite song - 5/5
Camouflage - Verse is annoying - 4/5
Don't Think Twice - 5/5
Somewhere on Fullerton - First song I heard. Sounds like a summer song or something - 5/5
Westbound - iff - 3/5
Know It All - Fav song - 5/5
Stuck - 5/5
None of my Friends are Punks - No point to this song - 3/5
It's a fun and catchy cd. Good for pop-punk."

"Allister is okay. Not the greatest, but quite respectable.
Their songs are all extremely fun to listen to and are written quite well.
But I don't know, they lack SOMETHING. I can't put my finger on it, but something seems like it's not there.
If you like pop-punk (stuff like Simple Plan), power pop (stuff like All-American Rejects), you'll like Allister."
Aspires to be only pop-punk

"This band is a pop-punk band. They are simply that, and don't pretend to be otherwise. Good. now that thats established we can move on without people accusing me of liking crap music. Pop punk is interesting because it is scorned by so many, but when it is listened to for simply what it is and not held up to the standards of being a TRUE punk record, it can be enjoyed quite a lot.
I was thoroughly obsessed with this album for a while. Every song is a little adrenaline rush. It doesn't have any songs that are particularly stand out songs for the genre, but while this sounds bad, it also lends an automatic familiar feel that will bring a smile to your face. That being said, I do have a few favorites. The first track, Scratch, is an endearing poppy song, that definitely sets the tone for the album. I am always happy to hear the beginning of this song. Overrated is a fun song about being sick of being pushed around. The One That Got Away is an intensely short song, but it is quick and to the point, and is actually one of the sweeter songs I have ever heard. "There are more fish in the sea. But I keep hoping that you'll swim back home to me." Nothing brilliant, but very much aesthetically pleasing. Matchsticks is my favorite song by Allister. It is so catchy that people are generally singing along to it halfway through the song. So good! Somewhere Down on Fullerton is the last truly remarkable song on the album, and it is their "hit." I use that term loosely. If you know an Allister song, you definitely know that one, but it doesn't exactly get much radio play.
All in all, if you are looking for a simple pop punk album, this one is definitely worth it. It is highly addicting, and highly enjoyable. One of the better albums in the genre"
