CD ReviewsA great CD from one of the best ambient-electronic groups D. C Morris | Lexington, S.C. United States | 01/24/2010 (5 out of 5 stars) "Alpha Wave Movement has produced some of the best ambient spacey electronic music to date (Tangerine Dream, Michael Stearns, Quarkspace, and John Stanford have done work of this caliber, but their styles are totally different). Alpha Wave Moevment has a sound that is sometimes spacey, at times spooky, but also warm and sweet much of the time. I can totally relax and chill out listening to this, but it's not boring at all. It keeps me engaged and wanting more. You can't always tell from a review whether or not you will like something, but I believe that you will enjoy this and feel that your money was well spent. Also check out the Transcendence CD. It's simpler, and at times repetitive, but quite beautiful and calming. Spacey, but like the other CD, warm and somewhat earthy, too. Makes you feel good to be alive. " One of the best ambient space music albums I've heard yet Alex Alban | Springfield, MA USA | 07/13/2008 (5 out of 5 stars) "For those who like ambient space music, this album is a must have. Each track is distinct, and they're quite long with the shortest track a respectable 4:31 minutes. This album will sound good in both your computer speakers and inside your car (especially if you have decent subwoofers).
Monolith has a wonderful bass synth, it's hard to describe but it definitely sounds spacey. 'Travel Into The Nexus' has a mesmirizing slow drum beat that sounds so wonderful in my car's stereo system, I have to be careful not to fall asleep. 'Purge' sounds the scariest and is my favorite track from this album. " |
