An excellent first EP from Amina

"I just saw Amina open for Sigur Ros last night in St. Louis, and I do have to say that I was totally blown away by their performance. These four women have been long time contributors to Sigur Ros, and indeed, if you do enjoy the music of Sigur Ros, you most certainly will enjoy this album. All of the four songs on this EP are hauntingly beautiful with sounds from strings, harp, xylophone, and an electronic mix. I am interested in what this group might sound like with vocals, and so I have given a rating of four stars. The music is wonderful, and I expect this group to grow and develop in great ways. Just know that if you purchase this CD, there are differences from Sigur Ros: no vocals, and a more feminine/lighter sound to the music. Again, Amina impressed me greatly enough that I went ahead and bought this EP after their performance. Hopefully there will be a full length CD coming out soon."
Beautiful and Innovative

"I recently saw Amina for the first time with Sigur Ros. They brought me to tears with their creativity and the sheer beauty of their music. Their EP is quite honestly one of my favorite albums. The innovation of these women is incredible- they use instruments like service bells and the saw, and are able to create music that is captivating and original. A must-have for anyone."
