A psychedelic Astrud Gilberto

"Satelite 99 is one of the nicest, smoothest, and yes, I dare say best, albums I've heard in a while. The songs sound like classic sixties bossa nova, but the instrumentation transports this great tradition to the nineties- imagine Astrud Gilberto or Gal Costa, produced by Air. Very charming, very relaxing, certainly sexy, and subtly psychedelic. If you like Stereolab but sometimes wish they'd drop this static Krautrock grrove of theirs, then this one is for you. Brilliant album."
