"Once again, Amazon has a CD for the Psychic Friends Network. For those of you less intuitive, the tracks on this disc are:

1. Mozart/ Busoni

2. Liszt

3. Debussy

4. Mendelssohn

5. Schumann

6. Chopin

7-8. Scriabin

9. Rachmaninov

10-11. Scriabin

12-13. von Weber

And, OK, most, if not all, would be easily recognizable from listening to them and many from title alone. It just bugs me that

discs are listed for sale without info as to the music there on and, sometimes, without the names of the performers! Deep breaths. There. I feel much better.



Now about this music. A lot of old warhorses that have become virtual cliches due to the frequency of their performance. But a cliche gets to be a cliche because it touches a universal nerve or truth, or because it knocks peoples socks off for a few generations of so. If we can no longer hear them because we've heard them so often...you know, you hear the first couple of bars, think,"Oh that old thing" and tune it out... perhaps we need to listen better. I defy you to listen to any piece on this disc that you recognize without reaching for your credit card. Try track 6, the Fantasie Impromptu and tell me if there's another recording you prefer because I want to hear it. Now quit reading and LISTEN."
