"There are a few obvious tracks here - Beer barrel polka and Ferryboat serenade among them - but this compilation mostly avoids the obvious tracks. It is therefore of particular interest to dedicated fans although the packaging suggests otherwise. The liner notes are standard biographical details that you would expect to find in a hits collection. They make no attempt to describe the tracks used. However, the track listing shows which orchestra accompanies the sisters, this usually being Vic Schoen but sometimes Bob Crosby and there are three tracks where no name is given.



The tracks include some of their minor hits (Pross tchai, One meat ball, Sing a tropical song) and some covers, among them I've got a guy in Kalamazoo and Pennsylvania 65000, both made famous by Glenn Miller.



If you are a committed fan like me, check the track listing to see what you're missing - this may be a useful addition to your collection. If you are less committed, you might still find this a worthwhile purchase - some of the tracks are rare but all are worth hearing."
