"Andru Donalds has one of those sweet tenors you might expect to hear in a "boy band", but that's not meant as an insult. He uses his voice to great effect throughout this album, which is well-produced, with excellent musicianship and strong songwriting. It's a soulful pop-rock effort without a weak track in the bunch. He reminds me of Ben Harper or Jeffrey Gaines, but with more of a pop than a rock sensibility. I found this in a record bin for twenty-five cents (!), and remembering how much I had liked "Mishale", I took a chance. (Here, it gets a reggae-style mix, which works pretty well.) This is an album that came and went under the radar, and deserved a much better fate than the cutout graveyard. Probably the best quarter I've spent in a long, long time."
