Leigh Durlacher | Clearwater, FL USA | 12/16/2002 (5 out of 5 stars) "Exceptional session with Piano and Guitar duo by Andy Laverne and John Abercrombie with a combination of jazz standards and orginals. Strong flow and rhythm throughout the recording despite lack of drum or bass, with wonderful accompaniment by each player. The ideas just seem to flow, and the solos are intelligent and pensive. There is obviously a strong level of communication between the two on this date, and this represents a wonderful cohesive effort of duo playing. Highly recommended!"
