"Like her contemporaries Patti Austin, Phoebe Snow, and the late Phyllis Hyman, Angela Bofill has a voice that is far superior to her better-selling peers as well as the "kids" that followed her. "Too Tough", while not as artistically satisfying as "Angel of the Night", the disc still boasts some great ear candy. The dance track title cut, her duet with Boz Scaggs on the classic "Ain't Nothing Like the Real Thing", and the touching "Accept Me (I'm Not a Girl Anymore)" are just three examples of the versatility of the singer. Like an expensive Chardonnay, Miss Bofill may only be meant for "refined tastes"."
Listen to it (and everything else) on vinyl!!!

"I chanced upon an excellent used vinyl copy of "Too Tough" last week and when I put on "Tonight I Give In," suddenly I'm back in 1st grade again, singing it and thinking I had lungs like Angela! You can't get any better than LP's... especially for jazz and R&B releases."
Great Album

"My personal favorite Bofill album. It is incredible to hear her unbelievable voice in the context of R&B songs. Side A gives you the R&B and Pop tracks. The best part of the album is Side B where she writes and produces all the songs and smooths out the vibe. Angela is a rare talent sent directly from Heaven"
Angela Bofill's crowning masterpiece.

"This 1983 release was Angela Bofill's all-time best album. The incomparable and truly timeless Quiet Storm classic ballad "Tonight I Give In" remains one of Angela's signature songs but "Song For A Rainy Day", "I Can See It In Your Eyes", "Is This A Dream", "Rainbow Inside My Heart" and "You Could Come Take Me Home" are also great songs from one of the greatest but most underrated songstresses of our time. If you don't yet have this wonderful CD...BUY IT NOW!!!"

"Because they exploited a wonderful and talented artist - Angi, duh..., and have not yet re-released many of her magical albums, of which this is one! I have listened to this album over and over again for almost twenty years and it's a classic - from "too Tough" to "You Should Know By know" to "Rainbow" and it is 100% beautiful. Just re-release the freakin album, okay!!! This is great!"
