"Anna Johnson's talent draws upon incredibly diverse influences, which seem to range from the folk/pop sensibilities of Joni Mitchell and Jonatha Brooke to the free wheeling lyricism of Keith Jarrett. This is not the typical CD that one usually expects from an unknown, independent artist, where it is frequently easy to categorize the music as belonging to a particular style. Instead, Anna reveals an ability to cover a lot of musical ground within the popular song form. This is highly evidenced on the title track "One More Time in the Air," which has a beautiful floating melody with some incredibly introspective lyrics, and also includes great writing for strings and woodwinds. Anna also demostrates her ability to convey a wide range of emotion and musical expression through her voice, and from the angry accusations of "Loser" to quiet beauty of "She Remembers Hopeful Eyes" you'll wonder if you're actually listening to the same singer. An added treat on this CD is the solo piano piece "Waiting for Snow to Fall" which not only displays her strengths as a composer, but as a serious piano player as well. I highly recommend checking out this amazing music!"
