Mackey | Somerville, MA United States | 04/06/2005 (5 out of 5 stars) "Considering this EP is about 8 years old now, the chances of any new fans "stumbling" across the already defunct Antarctica (now Ova Looven) are pretty slim. 23:03 exhibits a sonic mastery not heard on a "pop" album since The Cure's Disintegration or My Bloody Valentine's Loveless. The 3rd track, "Closet full of Churches", has one of the most beautiful and striking wah-wah sounds I've ever heard. This music is dreamy, glacial, intelligent and very very catchy. Mood music, to be sure, but listen to it at work and all of a sudden your boss won't bother you as much anymore. If you get a chance, check out Antarctica's 81:03 and Ova Looven's 58:34... both are brilliant."
