"Not much one can say about this CD - it is simply delightful.
Wonderful music - lovely and colourful instrumentations and suave and sexy performances!
Listen to the Ciaconna for violin (track 4) - this is surely one of the most beguiling and seductive chaconnes of the 17th century! Then listen to the expansive Sonata Sancti Leopoldi a 15 - it features three pairs of instruments in dialogue - 2 natural trumpets, 2 cornettini and 2 violini - these instruments play over the top of two choirs of instruments - a viol group and a group of trombones with a mute cornett for the treble instrument. Most of these works have never been recorded before - at least on period instruments at the right pitch (A = 466).A wonderful CD of music for a novice to this music or an expert."

"I heard one of these pieces on classical radio and loved it, so I bought this CD. It is great. All I can say is that you will love Bertali too if you like baroque composers like Vivaldi, Corelli, Torelli and Gabrielli. Not to mention Telemann.
