CD Reviews

Solid English psych-pop

"I'm not sure what the previous reviewer expected when ordering this CD and then calling it "ABSOUTELY (sic) AWFUL", but this is prime UK 60's psych-pop. Not exactly THE greatest album of all time, but still very good and highly entertaining. It would be interesting to know exactly WHAT the reviewer found so awful about this album...The album is a blend of heavy R&B (á la The Yardbirds, which they do two covers of, by the way) and slightly whimsy UK psychedelia. The stand out track - The Otherside - is one of the greatest singles of British psychedelia, issued as the B-side of Doctor Rock in 1968.The single versions aren't very interesting and doesn't differ much from the album versions, except they're in mono. It's a pity that their last single Thank You Very Much / Your Heart Is Free Just Like The Wind wasn't tacked on as bonus tracks though."
I could go either way on this

"This cd I really could say it's good and not so good. Half of the tracks like The Otherside and Buffalo Billy Can, are just great, and others like Doctor Rock i could really live without. It has liek 2 totally diffrent feels to it. but the songs that are good are definatly worth the buying the cd.
