"For a musical onmivore like myself, these works are a great diversion, even if they are not the sort of thing I would like to listen to as a steady diet. To my ear, the performances, on instrumments authentic to the period of the composer, are excellent, with no interference from inept engineering. The style is totally baroque, with the same overly sweet impressions evoked by 'pretty' baroque architecture. If you can get this inexpensively, it is a fine acquisition, as long as you like baroque chamber music."
