Great music marred only by fair-to-midling sound quality

"This CD is essentially the old (1975)Montreux Two vinyl album featuring Shepp live in Switzerland with Greenlee on trombone, Burrell on piano, and a drummer (I forget who). Shepp plays soprano on the wonderful and bittersweet title track with fine solo work from Greenlee. Then the maestro gets gnarly on tenor with the next track, ... Betty, blowing streams of consciousness reminiscent of Coltrane's "sheets of sound." If you don't mind the album's less-than-perfect sound quality, the rest also plays out to satisfaction."
