Among his best

"There is nothing that breaks down the walls of adversity like music. It has indeed been said that in music there are no limits, and certainly Pavarotti is a patron of this ideal. In his voice there are no walls, there are no barriers and there's no telling where the vibrations of his vocal chords end and the music begins.
This CD collects the best of his arias, the greatest moments of his passions, in one comprehensive (albeit concise) disk. It would be an understatement (and an obvious statement!) to say that his interpretations are ideal, so I'd prefer to say that his interpretations open a new world: through his music, he has defeated his mortality, he has united people in heart and mind, and most importantly, he's given us a key to our own imaginations that inspires creativity. While listening to the soaring Nessun Dorma, there is no doubt that you're allowed to escape and feel alive, and that there is no shame in escaping the every day to dream big!
Pavarotti's late charming personality shines through this music. No matter what your age, sex, creed, race, or even taste, you will certainly appreciate the gentle man's approach to humanity...life is too short to live without passion!
This music reminds me of something someone very important to me once said: "Indeed, maybe it is music that will save the world." I think that perhaps it already has, and if only we can spread it, Pavarotti will be crowned the hero if his own movement.
I leave this CD with Five large stars and many thanks to the producers of this album, which I have recommended to everyone around me. Grazie, maestro, per la musica che ha fatto cantare il mundo."

"If you can buy only one CD of Pavarotti, this is the one to get. It's Pavarotti at his peak, singing his most popular arias."

"This LP from the mid 1970's is what launched Pavarotti into the limelight. If you didn't know who Pavarotti was (and he already had a following), and you hear this recording, you most likely kept his name in mind and started searching for concerts or more records to buy. His voice was just coming into full force as a dramatic tenor yet he still had that lyrical control that could melt you.
Kendall is right, this is the one Pavarotti CD to have. It best displays his talent, beautiful voice, and places him into the history books as one of the top 5 king of the high C's!"
