"An advertisement once proclaimed, "You don't have to be Jewish to love Rosen's rye bread". Armando Manzanero is one of America's greatest song writers, that it happens to be Latin America means little. In fact, several of this wonderful Mrxican's songs were hits. Like IT'S IMPOSSIBLE for Perry Como and Elvis Presley and the GENTLE RAIN for Peggy Lee and Stan Getz! Love songs are love songs and in this album Manzanero sings great Latin romantic ballads he wishes he wrote. Classic tunes all, he performs them with poetic passion and deep feeling. His voice is unique-not your standard leading man bravado, but oh so beautiful. Plus-wonderful orchestrations superbly recorded. A great way to be introduced to Bolero romantic music and Mr. Manzanero."
