Fine Pop-Rock From Don Dixon's Old Band

"Prior to going solo, Don Dixon cut a few albums with Arrogance. All are enjoyable pop-rock with good songs and good hooks. (Some Arrogance material ended up surfacing on Dixon's solo debut, "Most Of The Girls Want To Dance...".) Arrogance's sound is a bit more classic rock, less new wave, than Dixon as a solo artist. The only Arrogance title that I've seen out on CD is this import release of Arrogance's second album, "Rumors". Unfortunately the price would be condsidered prohibitive by most (myself included). A much better alternative is to track down the vinyl versions and burn your own CD. The easiest to find on vinyl is the third album, "Suddenly" (1980 - Warner Brothers). Next would be "Rumors" (1976 - Vanguard). The final album was a live album, "Lively" (1981 - Moonlight) which had three sides of material, plus a hidden bonus track, "Puff The Magic Dragon", on side 4. Some copies also included a bonus 7" EP with 6 live covers of classis rock oldies - "Wooly Bully", "Hang On Sloopy", etc. I've never even seen a copy of their debut album from 1974. (...)"
