Timothy Sellers and his band Artichoke create catchy pop concept records. In 2005, their indie rock alphabet of biographical songs called 26 Scientists was featured in the NY Times science section. Artichoke's newest release, Bees, has an uptempo full-band sound with acoustic instruments and male/female vocals, prompting the Los Angeles Weekly to call Timothy Sellers a do-it-yourself genius. Beekeeper Doug Elam writes: I listened to your Bees CD and I have to tell you, the songs are absolutely fantastic! My wife and I giggled all the way through.
