"Arto's music reminds me of a male Sheila Chandra (who records on the Real World label). His intricate vocal techniques make for fascinating listening. From Turkey, his voice rings out as from a minaret calling Muslims to prayer. At other times, his overtone singing and cymbals sound akin to the Gyoto Buddhist monks. His percussion techniques are technically excellent and quite diverse--including rare water percussion. Listening evokes both a deep sensuous and spiritual response. Highly recommended."
