"Asva's first record, "Futurists Against The Ocean", was bleak and concise with a crisp recording. Virtually everything was audible, as it were. This record, "What You Don't Know Is Frontier" is denser, slower, and heavier. As with FATO, WYDKIF uses a complex array of tubular bells and organ to convey impressive drone elongations that other outfits in the genre are not using, as testament to Asva's novelty and talent. The inside sleeve of the record reads "Because of Michael", which most obviously is a reference to Michael Dalquist, the late drummer of many bands, notably of Silkworm, who was the brother of Asva's bass and guitar player (as well as sometimes of Sunn)))0) G. Stuart Dalquist. One cannot help but conject that the tragic and premature death of Michael influenced the composition of these brutal, truely beautiful and sadly intense movements in this work."
